How To Set Up Activities

Setting up an Activity on Zamplo Research, and then adding it to a Routine will allow you to monitor when participants complete the activity.

Note: If an activity is set up, but not added to a routine, you will not be able to monitor the activity. 

Activities refer to any physical or psychosocial behavior participants engage in as part of their wellness routine. They could be physical, like yoga, or psychosocial, like mindfulness meditation. 

You may add an activity to a routine if you want to monitor a participant’s activity frequency and duration. You may also want to assess the impact an activity has on a participant and their health during a trial.   

To add an activity: 
  1. Login to your Zamplo Research account
  2. From the dashboard, navigate to the left side of the screen and click the “Study Setup” dropdown 
  3. Then click Activity
  4. To add a new activity, click the Add New Activity button in the top right
  5. Type the name of the activity you want to add
    1. You can use a preset option that appears, or make a custom entry
  6. Select the measure that you want participants to use for tracking: minutes, hours, repetitions, sessions
  7. Then enter the quantity
  8. Select the frequency and time frame
    1. If you have an activity that doesn’t need to be completed on a reoccurring basis, you can select As Needed
    2. If the activity needs to be completed weekly, then select Weekly
    3. If this activity needs to be completed two times a day you can set the frequency as 2 and select Daily
  9. Add any additional information such as health-related data like heartrate or body temperature
  10. You can also add instructions for how the activity should be completed
  11. If the activity needs to be completed only during a certain period of time, you can select the start and end dates here
  12. Add any notes if needed  
  13. If you have set up Study Groups and want to set the Activity up for a specific group, select the group or select "All Participants"
  14. Once you are finished, click Save

To edit or delete an activity: 

  1. From this main "Activity" page select the activity you want to edit or delete
  2. Click the three dots in the top right corner to edit or delete the activity

 

Now that you have added a medication or supplement, you can add it to a Routine to be monitored for a study.
